"Control is Dead" as written by Timothy P. Lambesis, Phil Sgrosso, Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa and Clint Norris....
Control is dead in this blind world
For we do what we hate
Split from inside
Betrayed by emotion
We must look past
What is in front of us
Shadows are security
They have become the solace
Of my looking glass heart
In search for certainty
I no longer need control
Take me through the fire
Refine what is yours
It is time to overcome this
We must look past
What is in front of us

General CommentThe part I love the most about his song, is that Dan Wyandt laid down some guest vocals on it, I'd love to know if he collaborated with the lyrics.

Anyways, I believe that it's about not caring about this world, and keeping your determination and sights set on the next one, especially with the lines
"it is time to overcome this
    we must look past
what is in front of us".

General CommentWow. Makes me like this song even more. Dan is an awesome vocalist, besides Zao rocks. =)

And I would agree with you on the meaning too.

General CommentControl is dead, as in Christians should forfeit all control of their life to God and let Him take control.

I agree with mofn nine on the "we must look past what is in front of us" part.

General Commentthis song is about being emotionally driven. that we rely on our emotions to guid us. emotions are always changing like shadows.. they are always there but are always shifting and changing hence... control is dead. we should look past thing what is infront of us and worry about the more perminate things in life.

most aild songs... are about sacrifice

wut u sacrifice in this song is... lettin ur emotions control you
