It's under shirt sleeves
Bare shoulders and now
Tattoos of the things we love the most
And it's retold with amazing success
And it seems so brave but it's just a sucker punch

And so I
I glower and plot
And I will wreck you

Chorus
It's what we loved in this family
Only in my head
It's knees and elbows
Melted down instead

Groups of things you tell yourself
I'm solid it's just that nobody knows
It's replayed with precision and care
And why are you even talking
You weren't even there

So I
I glower and plot
I will wreck you

Chorus [x2]

And we're waiting, waiting, waiting
Are you done?

Do you wonder whatever became of us
Have you ever tried to call?
I would, I'd try, I'd give it a shot

We've grown, graduated and married
I would want to know these things
I would, I'd try, I'd give it a shot

So we ache to be different
Even though we don't really know how
I would, I'd try, I'd give it a shot

I've always thought the bridge ends with "I would, I'd try, I'd give it a shot" - almost as if to say that "I would have at least tried to stay in contact"

For some reason this makes me think of a bad relationship with dad that seems to fade away after the son is out of school and moved on with his life.

The tattoos are just a rough exterior to an issue that melts the inner self.

This song is a strong statement of remorse that someone hasn't kept up with the songwriter.

he says 'I will wreck you' following right into 'it's what we loved in this family'. also 'I'm solid it's just that nobody knows'. To me I relate this song to how I feel sometimes about being the only sane/functional person in my family. The end part would be about myself and my siblings wanting to break the cycle and learn to be better than what we have become but we grow apart and don't really have the skills to stop it. I like how it starts off all smooth and quiet and by the end he's pretty much yelling it. solid song.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
