Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright

Whoever thought the sun would come crashing down
My life in flames, my tears complete the pain
We fear the end, the dark as deep as river bed
My book of life incomplete without you here
Alone I sit and reminisce
Sometimes I miss your touch, your kiss, your smile
And meanwhile you know I never cry
'Cause deep down inside, you know our love will never ever die

Everything's gonna be alright (yeah)
Everything's gonna be okay (no doubt)
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away? (Yeah)
Can you give him life today? (No doubt)
'Cause everything's gonna be okay
I'll be your strength
I'll be here when you wake up

Take your time and I'll be here when you wake up (ah-ha)

I never thought my heart would miss a single beat
Caress your hand as I watch you while you sleep
So sweet, I weep as I search within
To find a cure, to bring you back again
And the sun will rise open up your eyes
Surprise, just a blink of an eye
I try, I try to be positive
You're a fighter, so fight
Wake up and live

Everything's gonna be alright (yeah)
Everything's gonna be okay (no doubt)
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away? (Yeah)
Can you give him life today? (No doubt)
'Cause everything's gonna be okay
I'll be your strength
I'll be here when you wake up

Everything's gonna be alright
(I'll wait a lifetime)

I'd give my life to only see you breathe again
Hand in hand as we walk on the white sands
To hear your voice, rejoice as you rise and say
This is the day that I wake pray, okay
Today's silence as time just moves on
You can hear it though
But I'm playing my favorite songs
I miss you much, I wish you'd come back to me
You see I'd wait a lifetime 'cause you're my destiny

Everything's gonna be alright (yeah)
Everything's gonna be okay (no doubt)
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away? (Yeah)
Can you give him life today? (No doubt)
'Cause everything's gonna be okay
I'll be your strength
I'll be here when you wake up, alright

Everything's gonna be alright (yeah)
Everything's gonna be okay (no doubt)
Everything's gonna be alright
Together we can take this one day at a time
Can you take my breath away? (Yeah)
Can you give him life today? (No doubt)
'Cause everything's gonna be okay
I'll be your strength
I'll be here when you wake up, alright

Everything's gonna be alright (no doubt)
Everything's gonna be alright

I really like the touch of Bach's "Air on a G String" playing in the background.

I really love this song, it means alot. Its about someone looking back on when they lost someone ythey love but telling their love that they'll always be there for them and that their love will carry on.

Oh and in the chorus its: 'together we can take this one day at a time' Not: 'together we can take this one day out of time'

I don't like this version as much as the latter one that they did with Jade.

P.S: Nothing's original anymore, so just deal with it people. I for one was inspired to persue other classical music from listening to this, so it did some good, didn't it?

I loved this song back in the day. When I listened to it then, I thought this was strictly about missing someone who is already dead.

But as I am older listening to it, I think the second verse is a reminiscent verse of when her loved one was sick. It seems that they were in a coma or some other debilitating state. She was probably at his/her side until the very end. Hoping, praying and remaining strong for a recovery.

The first and third verses seem like the feelings she had when they finally passed on.

I listened to this song for the first time in many years. And I really like the fusion of the classical with the early beat box. A few thoughts. The song is clearly about a boyfriend or husband dying of a disease, I suspect cancer. And on the last verse, he clearly has passed. The cello gives the illusion of stepping down and down at the beginning of the verse. Very powerful.
And the lyrics 'You're a fighter so fight Wake up and live' has always choked me up years ago, and today many years later continues to do so.

I think this rappers should write their own backgrounds instead of steal of a classic composition... I wonder if this song would have been a hit if it doesn't had have that background. I think not...

Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
