Yeah, a minger (in england) is known as someone disgusting. I agree with above person partly, and also I think that it's kind of a mock love song, like "if you fled a million miles I'd chase you for a day if I could be bothered", like a satire. Settling for what you can get, really.

A minger! Well i know here (in scotland) a minger is a disgusting person! Like you say 'eww minger' or 'mingin' if something is disgusting.
