"Everybody Knows That You Are Insane" as written by Josh Homme, Joey Castillo and Troy Dean Van Leeuwen....
You want to know why you feel so hollow?
Because you are.
You're missing out? Well if you say so
Then you're missing out

Everybody knows that you are insane
You want to know just how long you can hide from what you are?
Not very long
I have been lost. Down every road I follow out in the dark
On my way home

But I feel nothing. Am I better yet?

Everybody knows that you are insane

General CommentThe fear of going insane. Self doubt gone to the extreme. being completely alien to everyone around you, trying to explain yourself but noone feels you. So then you doubt your explantions, your feelings, what you are...which can only last so long. Then one day something clicks, you know you got yourself, so f what people percieve you as. Insanity = Socially different. Fear of insanity= fear of being socially different, what you really are. So consider your fear a blessing in disguise, one step closer to learning what you're really made of, which is not some drugged up drone living in an dellusion of what this world means. And recite that beautiful mantra "Everybody knows that you're insane"...at least then you know you're human.

General CommentOne of my favourite songs from Lullabies. I think it's about a guy who doesn't feel emotion, and he thinks he's missing out. He kinda focuses on the obvious of missing out on love though, kinda ignores all the bad emotions that come with the good.
    I had been lost
    Down every road I followed
    But I'd been tough,
    Found my way home
This verse is from the point of view of the guy telling the story, who can feel or at least learned to. Every attempt at learning emotioin left him confused, but through perseverance, he falls in love.

General Commenti think's he's basicly sayin "take a cup of concrete and harden the fuk up" shit happens to everyone, u me and the rest of the world. doesn't mean u have to let it rule your world. either that or the person has to stop using it for sympathy or whatever. fukin awesome point he has
