Just walk away.
Gather your thoughts for the second wave
of this argument of this epic changing day.
It’s crazy to think that an hour ago all things were great.
We stand here, both proud, both wrong and right,
throwing cheap shots in this stubborn fight.
Our lives are so intertwined in one,
we’re just so stuck in this moment it’s clear that we’re coming undone.
And you see that it’s hard for me to breath, when I get all worked up with these feelings.
I don’t know exactly how it is, that we can be so mad we considered not to exist.
We both know that there’s so much love clenched between our fists.

Goodbye waves in the driveway just resonate.
And yes I’m throwing it right back at her while we’re drowning in rivers from our faces,
We just want know if this, is this over?
Trembling silence fills the air as we stand here,
so impaired, but so aware.

Sit in this house, alone with fresh photographs, and I just can’t relax.
My cigarette smoke, I’m starting to choke on this,
half of my souls on the road in a car with the girl in a dress.
See it’s making it hard for me to breath, when I get all worked up with these feelings.
And I don’t know exactly how it is, that just to say “I’m right”, “you’re wrong”,
we both lose to win.

The Goodbye waves in the driveway just resonate.
And yes I’m throwing it right back at her while we’re drowning in rivers from our faces,
We just want know if this, is this over?
Trembling silence fills the air as we stand here, Oooh!

So hey now, maybe we’re just being stupid.
Maybe we’re just being dumb.
No, hey, maybe it’s time that we stopped,
and we realize that like that flag in the wind we are one.
And how (No Clue) makes so cute and lovely. The battle can be tore to shreds.
With time and patience, and love and affection we can beat this with needles and thread.
Because I love you! And you love me! And nothing will make this leave.
I said, I love you, and you love me. And nothing will make, make, make, make this leave.
So remember me, Yeah… remember me. Yeah. Remember me.

Don’t Walk Away.

I love the Rocket Summer. I just saw Bryce perform yesterday in Flagstaff, and it was worth the drive.

the part that you don't know is "and how a first kiss makes so cute and lovely"

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
