"Space Truckin'" as written by Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Anderson Paice....
We had a lot of luck on Venus
We always had a ball on Mars
Meeting all the groovey people
We've rocked the Milky Way so far
We danced around with Borealice
We're space truckin' round the the stars
Come on let's go Space Truckin'

Remember when we did the moonshot
And Pony Trekker led the way
We'd move to the Canaveral moonstop
And everynaut would dance and sway
We got music in our solar system
We're space truckin' round the stars
Come on let's go Space Truckin'

The fireball that we rode was moving
But now we've got a new machine
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah the freaks said
Man those cats can really swing
They got music in their solar system
They've rocked around the Milky Way
They dance around the Borealice
They're Space Truckin' everyday
Come on

General CommentThis song is about the drug scene of the early 1970's, traveling around, sharing different drugs with different people you encountered along the way. The visitation of different places in space make references to different highs from different drugs. I would expect they wrote this from personal experience.

General CommentI agree. Way better. By the way, I think the words are "Aurora Borealis", referring to the northern lights in the Arctic caused by sunspots. Not sure how the words fit into the song, though.

General CommentOk everyone sucks. This song is and always has been about a zillion times better then Smoke on the Water. This should've been Deep Purple's signature song, and I'm rather offended that the lyrics to this weren't even on this site. Damn...

I think this song, and basically all of Deep Purple, beats the shit out of any music today.
This is just ... yup.. one of those classic head bangers!

General CommentThe song is so cool.. and whats awesome about Deep Purple is that they made rly good music with easy playing riffs and hard fast solos.. which bands from now cant even do.. Not even Led Zeppelin stands a change the Purple lol.

General CommentDeep Purple is a lot like Zeppelin if the latter wasn't busy making songs about the Lord of the Rings. While Led was busy doing that, Deep Purple was busy making some rock that was as hard as DIAMONDS.
