Disconnected Lyrics
I watch you stumble through the morning
I watch you stumble home at night
sillouetted by a sun without sunlight
I've watched you walk straight through an evening when you're laden with the day
and the light of the moon, it only gets in your way
from a bedroom window I was anyone
and the street I look upon is my runway
but I'm connected to the places I don't feel connected from
I'm connected to the place that I don't feel like I'm from
This is the kind of town where everyone knows each other
and everyone hates that they know each other
and no one's getting any younger
from my bedroom window I was anyone
every street I look upon could be a runway
but I'm connected to the places I don't feel connected from
I'm connected to the place that I don't feel like I'm from
I'm connected to the places I don't feel connected from
I don't feel connected from
So move on here now
you don't belong here now
you don't belong you'll never belong
you don't belong here now
I watch you stumble home at night
sillouetted by a sun without sunlight
I've watched you walk straight through an evening when you're laden with the day
and the light of the moon, it only gets in your way
from a bedroom window I was anyone
and the street I look upon is my runway
I'm connected to the place that I don't feel like I'm from
and everyone hates that they know each other
and no one's getting any younger
from my bedroom window I was anyone
every street I look upon could be a runway
I'm connected to the place that I don't feel like I'm from
I'm connected to the places I don't feel connected from
I don't feel connected from
you don't belong here now
you don't belong you'll never belong
you don't belong here now

This is a classic song of restlessness and feeling that "I gotta get out of this place". Very similar to the sentiments expressed in the song "Middletown Dreams" by Rush (Power Windows) or the feelings that Bob Dylan felt growing up in midwest America and feeling like it just wasn't where he was meant to live out all of his days.
There's a connection to the friends and people he's grown up with, but a compelling sense that he's in the wrong setting and needs to make the difficult chioce to break away and fulfill something greater.
Yeah i agree with stratocpas there. It is an awesome song and so well written
