Live from the vacant lot. Everything that you dread.
We are the broken teeth amassing in your head.
This is the new violence. We want more.
Cry if you're feeling faint. Yeah yeah.
We'll bring the cameras in its time to carve you out.
Bang, bang motherfucker yeah.
So while you sleep at night.
We will crawl inside and eat you alive.
You host the parasite, we'll hold your televised suicide.
We're gonna find you tonight.
We've got the bright lights.
You'll be a star.
So get the bullets all right.
And pull the trigger.
What is there left to lose? Why are you holding back?
Your fifteen minutes will be over in a flash.
The leeches are at your throat. We want blood.
Lie if you're feeling faint.
We'll tie you up and down and drain your life away.
We want blood.
Who are you?
You're no one.

This songs talk’s reality shows and how much they suck. "You’ll be a star. So get the bullets all right. And pull the trigger...Your fifteen minutes will be over in a flash." because in reality shows you see people back staving each other in the back. Or even the producers making things up to make ppl fight. "The leeches are at your throat. We want blood. "

    Bang, bang motherfucker yeah.

This song is about all the stupid reallity shows that end up messing people minds. I hate shows like American Idol, Real World and the Fucking Ashlee simpsons show, they suck. " Bang, bang motherfucker yeah. " That lyric rocks. Emanuel is my new favorite Band!!

i think this song is about the media and how it can give people bad images and make everything seem bad. the new violence is ruining peoples lives and making everyone hate them. like what teen girls do in movies. they spread dirt about them to everyone and ruin their image. "Cry if you’re feeling faint. Yeah yeah," i took this to mean that they want them to break so that they can televise that too and make it seem like they are really flipping out at them for no reason. "We’ll bring the cameras in its time to carve you out." that one is saying to bring the cameras in and get all of their secrets. i dont want to explain what each line means to me and im guessing u get my idea.

I definately get the feeling that they are talking about how gossip and or the no-longer-private private life we have nowadays leads to crap. Eventually for some people, suicide because of what secrets or rumors were spread. Peer pressure I believe. Especially with the "Who Are You?" "You're no one..."

Ah. After reading some of the other comments, I guess it makes more sense.

I thought this song was literally about trying to get someone to kill themselves so that the narrator and whoever is with him/her can film it. =/

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
