Lo-Tel – 2AM

When I woke to find her sleeping at my shoulder
I was forced to re-evaluate my sins
I’d spent nearly fifteen years believing no-one
I had given up on Jesus as a kid

But at the age of twenty-eight I started thinking
Is it possible that maybe he exists
‘Cos when I look across this bed to find her sleeping
I know that she’s as close to heaven as I’ll get

So Jesus if you’re watching me
I promise an eternity
Of deeds so good you won’t believe
It’s me you’re seeing

So turn a blind eye to my ways
For all my sins I’m good to pay
Just don’t let her walk away
And maybe we can cut a deal
And she can stay
