"Year 3000" as written by Eamon Downes, Shane Heneghan, Kelly Wright and Mark Belcher....
One day when I came home at lunchtime
I heard a funny noise
Went out to the back yard to find out
If it was one of those rowdy boys
Stood there was my neighbour called Peter
And a flux capacitor

He told me he built a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
Is pretty fine"

He took me to the future in the flux thing
And I saw everything
Boy bands, and another one, and another one
And another one
Triple breasted women swim around town
Totally naked

We drove around in a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
Is pretty fine"

I took a trip to the year 3000
This song had gone multi-platinum
Everybody bought our seventh album
It had outsold Michael Jackson
I took a trip to the year 3000
This song had gone multi-platinum
Everybody bought our seventh album
Seventh album, seventh album

He told me he built a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
She's pretty fine"

Hey hey hey

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine"

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
She is pretty fine"
He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine"

General Commenti think busted songs are catchy and the kind of songs that you can dance widly in your room to (not that i do that...)
O yeah, and the reason that the song Year 30O0 also has to do with Mcfly is because Tom from Mcfly used to be in Busted and Harry from Mcfly sometimes plays drums for BUSTED.
O, and the 2 bands help write for each-other

General CommentThis song is about what life could (but most probably won't) be like in the year 3000. Loads of random lines were thrown in because who knows! I don't think it's about global warming and i don't think they should changed the lyrics from "Not much has changed but they lived underwater" I think they were just being funny with that line!

General CommentYeah, I had wondered about that, myself but then, the paranoia kicked in and I started to wonder if we all lived underwater, but the government was just lying to us.

General CommentI don't really like busted much but I think that this song could be about global warming where the polar ice caps are melting and we will all be under water soon but we will probably all die rather than be living under water

    General Commentemi_sarb, -

If they are still playing Busted in the year 3000, I think the living will envy the dead...

General CommentO yeah i just remembered that busted said in the year 3000 that they would be under water .....

They will all have soggy toast ...... now that will not do.

Im glad i will be gone by the year 3000 ..... a life with no toast!

And if i did live that long there would be one word on my lips .............. SUICIDE!
