Yeah, yeah, yeah, whoa, whoa

Verse 1:
Well, I take this any longer, no
I can’t take this anymore
Well, I'm not getting any stronger
I don't know how to feel this anymore

You can’t tell me what you want
After all that you've done for me
We can’t make it all undone
Can't you see that

Chorus:
I don't know what to feel and
You can’t tell if you’re dreaming and
I wish I could just let this go

But I’m thinkin’
That I don't know, what I'm feeling and
We just need space to breathe and
I wish that I could just let this go
But I'm thinkin’
I don't know

Verse 2:
I've had these thought a thousand times before
Im up against a wall I can't ignore
I wish you didn't feel so good to hold
'cause then it wouldn't be so hard to know

Oh oh

You can’t tell me what you want
After all that you've done for me
We can’t make it all undone,
But can't you see that

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
I wish I could tell you
That everything was gonna be alright
‘cause I just wanna love you
So maybe I could let this go

You can’t tell me what you want
After all that you mean to me
We can’t make it all undone
But can't you see that

(Repeat Chorus)

I don't know if I agree with you potterhead. I mean, I guess I can see where you are coming from, but from my point of view I am going through something similar right now. My ex-boyfriend and I decided that we both need some space for awhile and I know it's killing me because it is bittersweet. I would love to hold him once more, but I know that it takes time to get stronger and being so unsure of something that just wasn't working when you wanted it to work so badly for so long.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
