I'm standing here waiting for you to come
In the sky some kind of strange sky phenomenon
Feel strange to have you as a friend
But I'd rather be your friend
Then to never see you again
I'd rather be your friend

You stare at the sky, colours reflecting in your eye
Could it be what they call the northern light?
But here and at this time of year
It's like someone spilled a beer
All over the atmosphere
It's like someone spilled a beer

And I called out your name
Like the name of a coming hurricane
I called out your name
Like you call out when you're in hurt and pain
I called out your name
But you were caught in a heavenly silver rain
You and I are not the same
We're divided by the smoke of an aeroplane
Of an aeroplane

Flock of birds in the sky
Flying south, they know this place will die
And I wish they could take me with them
But I would not be accepted
'Cause I can't dance the funky chicken
I can't dance the funky chicken

I'm standing here waiting for you to come
In the sky some kind of strange
Sky phenomenon

    seconded.

is amazing. i does rarely hears such brilliant lines as - 'its like someone spilled a beer all over the atmosphere' and 'I would not be accepted because I can't dance the funky chicken'. Charming, touching lyrics; unusually unique today.

Okay i like it but what the hell does it mean?

A reference to Jens' homeland where the areola borealis(sic) can occasionally be seen? A late night session after breaking up with a partner who you would rather be your friend? The painting on the inside of your eyelids before you pass out from an overdose?

Who noes but it will happily be in my CD changer when I go off the bridge one day.

in the simpliest interpretation, it is a song sung by a man waiting for a girl who could have been his lover, but now is only a friend. In my opinion, of course.

I get the feeling that he used to be close lovers with this person, and this is the first time he's seeing her as 'just friends.' And that bothers him and he wants to just grab her and make things the way they used to be, but he doesn't because he realizes that he can't and that it's odd but that he has to make do with what he now has, as "But I'd rather be your friend / Then to never see you again"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
