Through the air and time
We came to see her
Where the sun collides
She carried us all
For the first time
I wish she'd call
I wish she'd come
And to blame on taste
You could bury us all
For the first time
I wish she'd call
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
The more you wait
The more you burn
Before we break...through
For the first time
I wish she'd come
For the first time
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she...
We came to see her
Where the sun collides
She carried us all
For the first time
I wish she'd call
I wish she'd come
And to blame on taste
You could bury us all
For the first time
I wish she'd call
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
The more you wait
The more you burn
Before we break...through
For the first time
I wish she'd come
For the first time
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she'd come
I wish she...

I think it's about this girl who every guy can easily get really attached to. yet the girl never stays with one guy and always turns them down. "we came to see her" a guy feels that the girl makes him feel complete. "she carried us all". and the way chino sings, he sings it from a perspective where he doesnt want to get too attached to her at all. he tries but eventually "for the first time, i wish she'd come". he's developed strong feelings for her and he knows how it's going to end and thats why he's frustrated.
he has all of these thoughts about them being together. "i wish she'd come" - kinda meaning he wants her to come to him, and only him. but he knows that will never happen..
i love this song. it should of been in the album and the album should of have been called Lovers..
It makes me sad that this album was held in such low esteem, because SNW seemed like a bit of a backpedal to me. Hopefully the new one will see them back on track.
I don't doubt that Chino was well aware of the implications of the line "I wish she'd come," but I really think the "wait/burn" lines are more to do with not making a move or taking charge of a situation and watching it pass you by.
"The more you wait
The more you burn"
The longer you wait for climax, the stronger it is.
But it's even more so about how hard it is sometimes to get her to come, as much as you want to, before you yourself "Break through" )
then he goes to show unselfish tendancies and starts to have feelings for said female that are above strictly carnal attraction. even chino saying:
"For the first time
I wish she'd call
I wish she'd come"
seems to refer to how he's stepped over himself - in not only the sexual act but outside the bedroom aswell - and wants to put in more effort into pleasing her. this is a metaphor for their relationship as a whole.
this song is so fucking good, if it had somehow remained unreleased in any form, it would be better than most songs released officially.
