"Seagull" as written by and Paul Bernard/ralphs Rodgers....
Seagull, you fly across the horizon
Into the misty morning sun
Nobody asked you where you are going
Nobody knows where you're from

Here is a man asking the question
Is this really the end of the world
Seagull you must have known for a long time
The shape of things to come
Now you fly through the sky
Never asking why, and you fly
All around till somebody shoots you down

Da-da-da-down, mmm, mmm

Now you seagull you fly, seagull you fly away
And you'll fly away today
And you'll fly away tomorrow
And you'll fly away, leave me to my sorrow

My InterpretationI actually think that this song is about somebody who has regrets about their life. they wish they could be free of the regrets like the seagull flies with out any regrets or worries.

General CommentBeautiful song, one of my favorites from this fine debut album. As kfe2 says, its about a man who is overdosing on drugs and is questioning about his life and is it going to end 'Here is a man asking the question, is this really the end of the world'

General CommentYou're right about it being about someone on drugs - Paul Kossoff

General Commentcould be about drugs but my thought on this song is that it is about someone who once had it all and by that i mean they had the world in the palm of their hands cause of so much potential and now they have disappeared forever. they are now a Seagull just simply going home.

General CommentIt's about someone that's overdosing on drugs and is about to die but he lived his life like the seagull.
