(Wa-wa-walking, wa-wa-walking)
I go out walkin' after midnight
Out in the moonlight
Just like we used to do, I'm always walkin'
After midnight, searchin' for you (wa-wa-walking, wa-wa-walking)

I walk for miles along the highway
Well, that's just my way
Of sayin' I love you, I'm always walkin'
After midnight, searchin' for you (wa-wa-walking, wa-wa-walking)

I stop to see a weepin' willow
Cryin' on his pillow
Maybe he's cryin' for me
And as the skies turn gloomy
Night winds whisper to me
I'm lonesome as I can be

I go out walkin' after midnight
Out in the moonlight
Just hopin' you may be somewhere a-walkin'
After midnight, searchin' for me (Wa-wa-walking, wa-wa-walking)

I stop to see a weepin' willow
Cryin' on his pillow
Maybe he's cryin' for me
And as the skies turn gloomy
Night winds whisper to me
I'm lonesome as I can be

I go out walkin' after midnight
Out in the moonlight
Just hopin' you may be somewhere a-walkin'
After midnight, searchin' for me (wa-wa-walking, wa-ooh-ah)

This is probably my favorite of hers. I like it more than Crazy. Both are damn good. She has a beautiful voice.

    My Interpretation

"Walking after midnight" must mean wandering in metaphorical darkness, I guess. One wanders in this darkness hoping a past love is also wandering, looking to reconnect.

    My Interpretation

This is country Goth at it's best. It's not stated or established in the song, but the lover she searches for, late at night, is dead, and she misses him so much that she believes that if she walks alone in the middle of the night that there is a chance that she will see his ghost. It is romantic and macabre. I love it!

Great song. Very compelling cover by Girl In A Coma as well.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
