Did you ever feel like you wanna be
Someone else for just one day
Did you ever feel like you wanna see
Through another pair of eyes
Did you ever think I might wanna be
With anyone else for just one day
Did you ever really think of me
When I walked away
The book, the dunks, and the bottle of Jack
The smokes, the slouch, chair, my eyes down
You think you know what you think you'll find
You think you'll figure me out tonight
But you'll never know what I wont share
Cuz I dont care, no I dont care
You think you'll figure me out tonight
But I dont care
And I wonder
If I'm just built this way
Cuz every man that I know makes me feel like
I'm to blame when its over
Me and my selfish ways
Go back to start again
Go back to start again
Did you ever feel like you should have said
Something smarter at the time
Did you ever feel like you should have kept
It all to yourself
Did you ever think it might be your fault
I never promised anyone
Did you ever think it might not be me
No, it was always me
The book, the dunks and the bottle of Jack
The smokes, the slouch, chair, my eyes down
You think you know what you think you'll find
You think you'll figure me out tonight
But you'll never know what wont share
Cuz I dont care, no i dont care
You think you'll figure me out tonight
But I dont care
And I wonder
If I'm just built this way
Cuz every man that I know makes me feel like

Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
American Town

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
I like this song as well. It's fits perfectly in that movie "Mean Girls" when that guy that Cady liked looks at the picture of Cady when she is riding on the elephant as a little girl. The sweetest moment in that movie...
Anyways, it's pretty obvious what this song's about. The guys always think that they know what she's about because she seems to be like a normal average girl, but she's not.
