From in the middle of the room
She hears the conversation moving
Further from where she's going,
Without even knowing,
Now the vibrations in the floor,
Are getting closer to the door and,
Is this the way you,
Let your problems drift away to?
I climb, So high, It blows me away sometimes,
See through, my holes, into this place i call my own,
And this time, I'll try, Its in the air tonight,
Sleep tonight, no more crying,
'Cause i've got you on my side

[Chorus]
I don't want you to be, anything at all,
I just want you to say you love me,
I don't care, just stop living like this,
I don't want to be, anything at all,
I just want you to see, who I am, and Stop the violence
No more silence

From in the middle of the room
She hears the conversation moving
Further from where she's going,
Without even knowing, knowing,
Now the vibrations in the floor,
Are getting closer to the door and,
Is this the way you,
Let your problems drift away to?

[Chorus]

I'm gonna show ya I'm alive,
Breathing clearly for the first time,
Take me in your arms, take me to the place where you are,
I needed time to clear my mind,
Keeping Balanced on this line,
Was impossible, before I met you,
I climb, so high, It blows me away sometimes,
Sleep tonight, no more cryin',
Cause I've got you on my side

[Chorus]

I'll shout form the top of the rooftop singing,
I'm not afraid of the bed I lay in,
Listen to the sound of the voices ringing,
I can't deny it, No more silence,
We'll shout from the top of the roof top singing,
We're not afraid of the bed we lay in,
Listen to the sound of the voices ringing,
I can't deny it,
No more silence!

Just to top off the meaning of this song, it is about child abuse.

'And is this the way you Let your problems drift away to?'

I think it should be too,not to.

I think canadianchick is right. I haven't read any interviews where this song was discussed, but it sounds like someone turning to God in a time when he/she is being abused,or when someone close to them is being abused.

At the beginning of the song I get a picture in my mind of a girl being abused by her father and her mother sitting there pretending it's not happening. As the song goes on,the mother stands up to her husband and seeks out the much needed help.'No more silence',right?

Eventually things work out. 'I'm not afraid of the bed I lay in'

I agree that it's a song about abuse....it sounds like sexual abuse, perhaps even a girlfriend and boyfriend, then near the end, the "i'm not afraid of the bed I lay in" is her saying, "I'm not afraid to sleep, because I know that i'm not going to be abused" ...I dunno... good song though

I really like this song, though I feel that it doesn't rise to the height I wanted it to it the chorus. After the build-up I expected more, but I really like the build-up.

I've been trying to figure out what it is about for a while, and I don't really know. TFK being a Christian band, it is probably a Christian message--I'm thinking maybe about being open about your faith and not being afraid about talking about it with other people...? That would kind of work with talking about the girl letting the conversation move away when she has an opportunity to share her faith, thus letting her problems drift away, and with some other parts of the song... But I don't know how the chorus would fit into that

i think this song is also about the expectations that we have on us. the chorus is about how God doesnt care who we are or what we've done he just wants us to accept him. at the beginning the girl was only doing what people expected of her but in the end she breaks free of that.

I can't deny it, no more silence

Yeah, What is this song about? I actually thought the build up portraid the chorus pretty well. Idk it's just me, but I really like this song. It makes me think that it might be portraying like how he feels with God, and Hows he releasing himself to God, he's giving up his soul, and it's kind of his struggle with it. Idk I'm probably wrong.

It means that we try so hard to get to the top. To impress everyone. But we really need to stop and turn to God. The Chorus is a one on one conversation with God:

I don't want you to be anything at all I just want you to say you love me I don't care, just stop living like this I don't want to be anything at all I just want you to see who I am And stop the violence No more silence

The first half is God telling us that we don't have to worry about all this crap on Earth, (Popularity, sex, drugs, etc.) because all we have to do is love Him and He'll love us back. He doesn't care about our mistakes because we're forgiven.

The second half is our turn in the conversation. It's us coming to God and saying, "I don't care about the world anymore... I only care about you."

When the song refers to "see through my holes" we're telling God to don't look at my sins, which He doesn't (after we ask for forgiveness).

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
