"Birthday Boy" as written by and Homer Flynn....
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear birthday boy,
Happy birthday to you...

Bulging eyes abound about
The birthday boy today;
Screaming, "Creaming eyes!"
Screamed he,
His mother looked away.
"Creaming eyes explode upon
An apple pirate toad
And if an injun ate a plate
I'd laugh and live abode."

Nervousness itself was shifting
Guests against the door,
"Forgive us dear, but, uh, baking beer
Is what we should be near."
"Bye," the bothered birthday boy said,
"Bye," the bothered birthday boy said,
"Bye or sell or bye,
Bye or sell or bye."

"Happy, happy birthday to me,
Happy birthday to me,
Happy birthday to me, hee hee..."

General CommentYeah, perhaps one of those little snobby kids. I think he's talking about leaving when his parents don't "buy or sell", (I suppose he ends up leaving), and perhaps in the end, the parents are rejoicing him being gone when they say "happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me."

General CommentI think most of The Residents' lyrics were made up of surrealistic techniques or just plain nonsense, there's really nothing in them. The thing with this type of lyrics is that most of the time you end up psychologically projecting yourself to find a meaning within the words. And although it may not be the intended meaning by the author, I think we can all agree that we somehow identify through projection.
