I adore Phil Collins and his music ability!! This song is AMAZING! I'm obsessed with it xD It has so much to do with what I personally believe in. That is, always look on the brighter side, because there will always be someone watching over you. And nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and take the chance to trust the people you feel you can. I also see it to be about seeing things from other people's perspectives...or just taking the chance to get to know someone and see life through their eyes, if only for a brief moment. It won't hurt ;)

I cant believe nobody has written anything yet...sigh...such a good songwritter. He is probably in his fifties and he can still belt out a song much better than anyone half his age. What a talented musician, he can play so many different instraments its unbelievable.

The song has a strong meaning to it , it says to look through the eyes of another person or walk in their shoes in the movie brother bear kenais dead brother turns him into a bear after killing kodas mother when he takes a look through the eyes of a bear he realizes that their life is hard and that they're not beasts or thieves but kind creatures, he soon realized after he learns that she was trying to protect her baby like any human mother would do
I sang this song when I watched Brother Bear as an elementary school student. Right now this reminds me how I look at the eyes of Jesus Christ and he tells me to not run and hide from my problems in life and trust in his hand to guide me through difficult moments. Because of this, My life situations had improved and I felt amazed at what he has done for me so far.
