Disenchanted Lullabyes
Sing me yours, I'll sing you mine
Sing with me now what's a boy to do?
What's a boy to do?

Sing along for yesterday
Sing along my soul to take
Sing along another song for you
What's a boy to do?

Chorus:
I may be scattered
A little shattered
What does it matter
No one has a fit like I do

I may be scattered
A little shattered
What does it matter?
No one has a fit like I do
I'm the only one that's fits you

Whisper with me pass the time
Whisper for the days gone by
Whisper with the voice inside of you

With this ring you will be mine
With this ring I'll multiply
With this ring surrendering to you
What's a boy to do?

I don't think it's quite that vulgar...I think it's about someone fairly dysfunctional who's in love with someone else and has been for quite a while, and it's tearing him apart because she's been rather distant and skeptical about the relationship. He's claiming that even though he's screwed up, he's the best person around for her.

When I first heard this song, I had to stop what I was doing and listen to it again, like 10 times. I think it is about someone admitting that they are not perfect, and hoping that the one they love will still accept them and love them despite their imperfections. The line "no one has a fit like I do" hits me hard everytime I hear it. It says to me that I may not be exactly what you want, but I am exactly the one you need.

yes, naziracist, i doubt it's that vulgar, but to be perfectly honest, i would expect nothing but vulgarity and ignorance from someone with a name like yours.

This song is just about being perfect for someone, but they let you down. and you're sure it will work out. you think it SHOULD, but it won't. it's sad, and angry.

Heres what Dave says about the song (which is awesome)

"Another one of my favourites - it's kinda spaced-out. The chorus kinda reminds me of the Smithereens and is very hooky but the verses are trippy as hell."

My boyfriend actually told me he saw/read an interview about this song. Dave, in fact, did admit this song was about hooking up with someone. Still, an awesome song!

'With this ring you will be mine'. Sounds like it's about marriage and the associated fear of being permanently committed to someone

It's a great song. that much is true. when he said "no one has a fit like i do", that means that he's the one for that chick. when he says "fit" he means his dick fitting in her cooter. he's the only one that fits her, therefore they are made for each other. who gives a shit about what the rest of the song means...think about a penis in a vagina when you hear this song. 8lllllllllllD (l) no one has a fit like i do... 8lllllll(l) I'm the only one that fits you 8llllllllllD--- (l)

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.

Somewhere Only We Know
Keane
Per the FAQ on Keane's website, Keane's drummer Richard Hughes, stated the following: "We've been asked whether "Somewhere Only We Know" is about a specific place, and Tim has been saying that, for him, or us as individuals, it might be about a geographical space, or a feeling; it can mean something individual to each person, and they can interpret it to a memory of theirs... It's perhaps more of a theme rather than a specific message... Feelings that may be universal, without necessarily being totally specific to us, or a place, or a time..." With the nostalgic sentiment and the overall tone of the song, I think Keane is attempting to express a Portuguese term known as 'saudade', which does not have a direct English translation but roughly means "that which we remember because it is gone."

Of Mice & Men
This track is about is about questioning why the sky would choose to be blue if it had the choice to be anything else, “blue also meaning sad,” states frontman Aaron Pauley. “It's about comforting a loved one in a time of loss by telling them you feel blue, too.”
