Change Your Mind Lyrics
When life's complete, but there's something missing still
Distracting you from this must be the one you love
Must be the one whose magic touch can change your mind
Don't let another day go by without the magic touch
Supporting you (change your mind)
Embracing you (change your mind)
Convincing you (change your mind)
When you feel used and you just can't play the clown
Protecting you from this must be the one you love
Must be the one whose magic touch can change your mind
Don't let another day go by without the magic touch
Restoring you (change your mind)
Revealing you (change your mind)
Soothing you (change your mind)
You see the picture changing everything you've heard
Destroying you with this must be the one you love
Must be the one whose magic touch can change your mind
Don't let another day go by without the magic touch
Embracing you (change your mind)
Protecting you (change your mind)
Confining you (change your mind)
Distracting you (change your mind)
Supporting you (change your mind)
Distorting you (change your mind)
Controlling you (change your mind)
Change your mind (change your mind)
Change your mind, change your mind (change your mind)
Change your mind (change your mind)
The scent of love, more than a million roses bloom
Embracing you with this must be the one you love
Must be the one whose magic touch can change your mind
Don't let another day go by without the magic touch
Concealing you (change your mind)
Protecting you (change your mind)
Revealing you (change your mind)
Change your mind, change your mind (change your mind)
Change your mind (change your mind)
Change your mind, change your mind (change your mind)
Change your mind (change your mind)
Change your mind, change your mind
Change your mind
Change your mind, change your mind
Change your mind
Change your mind, change your mind
Change your mind, change your mind

Neil wrote this right after Kurt Cobain killed himself.

This song is awesome. I love the heavy bass beat. This is just one of many Neil young songs that are really long with incredible instrumental pieces weaving it together. The lyrics are cool too.

Neil Young heard about (read?) Kurt Cobain's suicide note, where Kurt Cobain quoted a line from Neil Young's song "My My, Hey Hey", Kurt Cobain writing that "It's better to burn out, than to fade away." Neil Young was horrified at this, and if I recall correctly, "Change Your Mind" was written as what Neil wished he could have told Kurt before Kurt chose to end his life.

I think its about quitting drugs ("Don't let another day go by...") and living life clean.

Damn good song. I love the way he is in the moment, slips away, then transitions right back into it.

The beauty of this song like many great pieces of art is that it gives you you room to interep the lyrics and to connect to it from your point. I take it from the angel of changing youre mind while deciding to commite suicide .

Awesome song...I put this on my iPod and I can walk a mile before it ends.

IMHO this song juxtaposes perfectly with Like A Hurricane, recorded in 1975. "Hurricane" is a kind of angsty song about love (and infatuation). Change Your Mind, released almost 20 years later, is a very different take on the matter. On one hand (Hurricane) love can tear you apart, on the other (Change Your Mind) it can save & redeem you. Both tracks are brilliant. :))
