you're bent over the grand piano
feel my eyes slide over you
legs that curve the same as hers
could run as quickly too
my lazy tongue lies low and ready
it cannot seem to speak its words
i'd axe it off to shut me up
but you've already heard
the murders have occurred
the path into this heart
is littered with corpses
and strewn with body parts
of those who came before
and of stronger souls than you.
so just give up
so take me where they cannot see us
and lay me down on coffin rich dirt
tonight, i am a transylvanian
a taste of you won't hurt
cause i am numb to every feeling
stubborn ears will hear no sound
my last few rounds have left me reeling
my teeth are on the ground
i've taken pound for pound
so child
don't go
getting your
hopes up
feel my eyes slide over you
legs that curve the same as hers
could run as quickly too
my lazy tongue lies low and ready
it cannot seem to speak its words
i'd axe it off to shut me up
but you've already heard
the murders have occurred
the path into this heart
is littered with corpses
and strewn with body parts
of those who came before
and of stronger souls than you.
so just give up
so take me where they cannot see us
and lay me down on coffin rich dirt
tonight, i am a transylvanian
a taste of you won't hurt
cause i am numb to every feeling
stubborn ears will hear no sound
my last few rounds have left me reeling
my teeth are on the ground
i've taken pound for pound
so child
don't go
getting your
hopes up

It's the story of a narrator whose custom to using and abusing former lovers or simply shutting them off altogether. The first few lines "bent over the grand piano/ feel my eyes slide over you/ legs that curve the same as hers/ could run as quickly too" describe his memories of a past lover as he watches the newest interest.
"my lazy tongue lies low and ready/ it cannot seem to speak its words/ i'd axe it off to shut me up/ but you've already heard" Here, he's trying to bite his tongue to stop himself from beginning the cycle all over again, but he can't help it. He speaks, and "the murders have occurred" - he's so used to mistreating past loves that he can guarantee it will happen again, and so by now it's as good as done.
The chorus is pretty self-explanatory, continuing the whole corpse imagery to paint a pretty grotesque picture. I get the feeling that the boy doesn't really want to be this way anymore, but he can't help it. he doesn't know any better. He's been a "transylvanian" from the start.
"so take me where they cannot see us/ and lay me down on coffin rich dirt/ tonight, i am a transylvanian/ a taste of you won't hurt" Here, the song ties into the title with the vampire concept, and it's where I think the narrator begins to deceive the girl. It's the dating stage, if you will. he's like a vampire, cold and twisted and lustful, and cannot deny himself a "taste". The boy even admits his indifference to himself: "cause i am numb to every feeling/ stubborn ears will hear no sound" By now he's totally desensitized, acting mercilessly and coldly.
All in all, it's amazing how, despite the metaphors towards death, vampires, and murder, the narrator still manages to induce sympathy within the listener. The chorus feels almost like a plea, a cry for help.
Looks like it'll be one of those cold nights again, where I'll have this on repeat.
Even though this song reminds me of someone I wish I wouldn't remember, it is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard.
It's hard to tell somebody you are not worth their time.
legs that curve the same as hers
could run as quickly too"
grreeaaat lines.
im guesssing that this part means, that he realizes simalirties, in not only the girls looks, and a past lover, but also im guessig in personality, and hes afraid that she could leave him just as his past lover
If anyone watches Dracula movies they'd know that often times there's serious romantic themes involving vampires, but the whole blood sucking thing gets in the way. They end in some serious self-loathing.
The narrator destroys women because he's a mess. He's saying don't even try to date me because stronger souls than you have failed.
Oh and btw great makeout song.
