As I walk through
This wicked world
Searchin' for light in the darkness of insanity.
I ask myself
Is all hope lost?
Is there only pain and hatred, and misery?

And each time I feel like this inside,
There's one thing I wanna know:
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?

And as I walked on
Through troubled times
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes
So where are the strong
And who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony?
Sweet harmony.

'Cause each time I feel it slippin' away, just makes me wanna cry.
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?

So where are the strong?
And who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony?
Sweet harmony.

'Cause each time I feel it slippin' away, just makes me wanna cry.
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?

General CommentJust read an interview with Maynard somewhere, and he said that it actually was Billy who sang this one. Crazy.

General CommentYeah, the CD sleve lists it at Billy... actually, it lists a lot of the songs as Billy.

General CommentYeah, Billy sings lead on this one and "Freedom of Choice". I think he has a nice voice. He should sing more often.
As for the song, it's pretty straight-forward, and if anyone needs the whole political-motivation thing explained, well then they must've been living under a rock for the past few months.
Also, I voted today. I hope everyone else did too.

General CommentThis song is obviously sung by Billy, idiots. It mentions it in the cover and it sounds nothing like Maynard or Paz. Anyway, This song is self explanitory, and its a very touching one emotionally. I think it's great.

General Commenti dont know if you guys know this or not but this song like a few of the songs on this cd is a remake of Elvis Costello's " Peace Love And Understanding"
More power to Billy Howerdell he rocks the guitar and vocals

General Commenthah! Billy sang it?!! I didn't buy the album so i didn't look at the sleeve. Makes sense since Maynard's voice is more man-ly. Still, it's divine. Kudos to Billy.
