"Look for Me (I'll Be Around)" as written by and Sylvia Dee Guy Wood....
When you tire of
All the bright lights
Pace that's killing
And you're willing
To stay home nights
When your feet are back
On the solid ground
Look for me
I'll be around

When the new crowd
Starts to bore you
Just remember
There is someone
To adore you
When you're weary of
Nights up on the town
Look for me
I'll be around

May not seem exciting
The way those others do
I'm emotion
My devotion
You will need
Someday as I need you

When the kicks go
That it brings you
You will hanker
For an anchor
Just to cling to
When you've lived it up
'Til it's got you down
Look for me
Look for me
Look for me
I'll be around

General CommentThis is the most beautiful song. I can't believe the gorgeousness of Neko's voice here.

General Commentthis is the kind of song that you sing on a stage with nothing but a piano accompanyment and a spotlight in a smoky lounge, this song is soooo smoky.

General CommentIt's about groupie stalkerdom. It's from the perspective of the obsessive fan who worships the performer and fantasizes that some day they will have an actual personal relationship with them.

General Commentit can be interpreted a lot of ways but to me its about a partner who has left due to their relationship becoming stale and boring and seeking some excitement. This song i written from the prespective of the jilted one who's saying when you've had your fun and games i'll still be here waiting.

General CommentI think she's saying "I've a notion my devotion you will need...", not "I'm an ocean..." Hee!

    General CommentIt's definitely "I've a notion"

    beautiful song.

and lol, milanks, your interpretation reminds me of Fiona Apple's "I Know" which is about just that.

MemoryI saw her perform this live in 2009, I think, and as an introduction she said, "this is a song about desperation". Someone in the audience shouted back, "aren't they all?" to which she chuckled and said, "yeah, I guess they are." she was amazing! <3
