Believe me, it's easy to scream when you're dreaming
And wonder what's under your bed
When you're sleeping they take you
They make you forget what you're needing
But hey, it's just another Saturday
It's only just another Saturday

I love you
I need you like the thousand times before
Wonder why I hate you but I'll scream and ask for more
I'm standing
I'm knocking
But you won't open the door
If I feel then I need
If I love then I'm free

Believe me it's easy to read between the lines
When mommy says sorry over a thousand times
You're tied up
You're cried up
You need a break from here
But hey, it's just another Saturday
It's only just another Saturday

I love you
I need you like the thousand times before
Wonder why I hate you but I'll scream and ask for more
I'm standing
I'm knocking
But you won't open the door
If I feel then I need
If I love then I'm free

All I've wanted
All I've needed
Is everything you're not to me

Jacob said this: One night, particularily a Saturday night, a place I was staying also took in foster kids. The girl will remain nameless but her story will remain infamous. She struggled with her mom. And had to not live at home. It became complicated and through one thing or another, her mother made her life a living hell. Night after night they would argue on the phone, and her mother on the phone would drive the girl, to mere insanity. We would sit upstairs. Still. Somber. And listen to her heartbreak. Hear her scream utter insanities, as she would throw the phone across the room, or screaming till her voice owuld break. And crying all night long. Her mother would actuall attempt to convince her she was crazy, she'd actually be 'tied up' and medicated and sedated. Her mother tried to convince her she was crazy. Her life was a wreck. One Saturday night, she broke, she cried all nigght long. Broken. I sat upstairs. In the middle of winter, listening to her heartbreak. I could take it. I had to let it out. I went to my room, and cried myself for hours. Got up. And hey. It’s just another Saturday.

I love this song! I love Hedley! I love Jacob! I usually get bored very easily with the music I listen to, but this song is so different because Hedley is different! They aren't like the music people hear now-a-days. They have their own sound and that's why I would never EVER get bored of Hedley. I love them they are sexiliciously crazy cool and that is a good thing or else I wouldn't be saying it... lol... So yeah! The whole conclusion is I love Hedley and I will never be bored as long as I get my daily dose of Hedley songs and videos! :D (m_(m) thinks, "MMMMMM..... Hedley"

Totally.Moi - the lyrics typed at the beggining arent wrong, they are the original lyrics from the original band members, when the band members changed some of the lyrics to the songs did as well.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
