Its been three days
You come around here like you know me
Your stuff at my place
Next thing you know, you'll be using my toothpaste
Step up, sit down
Get ready, let me tell you whose the boss now
Stay here, get out
Everytime I turn around you're in my face

Dont care where you think you've been
And how you're getting over.
If you think you got me found just wait it gets much colder

[Chorus]
Here I am
Perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see, love me for me
Stick around
I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave
You'll see, love me for me

Shut up, come back
No, I didn't really mean to say that
I'm mixed up, so what
Yeah you want me so you're messed up too
I love you, I hate you
If you only knew what I've been through

My head is spinnin but
My heart is in the right place
Sometimes it has to have itself a little earthquake

[Chorus]
Here I am
Perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see, love me for me
Stick around
I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave
You'll see, love me for me

I've been waiting all my life to finally find you
Just so I can push you away
And when you're crawling over broken glass to get to me
Thats when I'll let you stay

[Chorus]
Uh, here I am
Perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see, love me for me
Stick around
I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave
You'll see, love me for me

Whoa... love me for me
Whoa...

[Chorus]
Here I am
As perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see, love me for me
Stick around
I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave
You'll see, love me for me

    I absolutely LOVE this song.

I think in this song she's singing to an ex-boyfriend? Or something on the lines of that. And she's telling him that how she is, isn't going to change. And that's as perfect as she's ever going to be.. Hinting the Lyrics: Here I am, As perfect as I'm ever gonna be

In a way she hates this guy? And yet she wants him still..

Shut up, Come back No, I didn't really mean to say that. I'm mixed up, so what Yeah you want me so you're messed up too I love you, I hate you If you only knew what I've been through

^^Those lyrics show how she just wants to get her point through but doesn't want him to hate her for what she has to say?

I'm not really sure if that's what this song means, but that's how I see it...

Yeah, that makes sense too but I thought it was about a guy being interested in her and she's just saying that it's not easy to get to me but don't give up: "I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave You'll see, Love me for me" And she's tell him he has to prove himself in order for her to let her guard down and be with him: "I've been waiting all my life to finally find you, Just so I can push you away. And when you're crawling over broken glass to get to me Thats when I'll let you stay"

I wouldn't want to date ashlee, she always writes about her ex-loves...

I hate Ashlee's voice. Plain and simple. But I'm not going to call her talentless because if she did in fact write her songs then she's got potential. All the songs on the album are good, nicely written. But her voice is crap.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
