People always try and put me down, but I...
I don't ever give a fuck what people say
I try and listen to the voice inside my head
I try, I try, I try

Chorus:
I feel so beautiful today
Ba ba ba ba ba ba da ba
You're just so typical
You can't break me

I'm not ever gonna fall in line with you, 'cause I...
I don't wanna be another plastic mind
I try and listen to the voice inside my head
I try, I try, I try

Repeat Chorus (2x)

You're just like everybody
Why would I wanna be like you?

1, 2, 3, 4

Repeat Chorus (2x)

Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba

good song. think this song may be about someone pressuring him to be someone he's not but he doens't want to be like them. "People always try and put me down, but I... I don't ever give a fuck what people say "

I actually think it's about suicide. There's an eerie interlude where it has voices of police being called to am attempt. The guy probably didn't fit it with others, so tried to do it.

i think its about suicide, and how the persons trying to put a positve spin on killing himself. He views himself as being better then everyone else and doesnt wanna be like them, but if thats how the worlds gonna work... then he doesnt wanna be there. Sometimes when people plan on killing themselves they go through their last day planning everything out so its perfect.

I dunno, this is my interpretation, im sure its not wat u would think of when u just read the lyrics, i put some thought into it

This song for some strange reason reminds me of the columbine shootings, 'people try to put me down,' the boys found themselves frequently picked on by athletes and other students. They also needed counseling and where known to be angry against everyone, 'I don't ever give a fuck what people say.' When I hear the police voices in the background, it’s like the point where the students kill themselves, and maybe that’s why it’s at a school and the police report of a suicide...but this is my own connection I make with this song and isn't based on any facts about the band.

this i think is about suicide i first heard it when i was going through my "suicidal stage" of being a teen. it was like 4 am and i fell asleep with my mp3 player on earlier ... and i awoke to it and immiediately downloaded it it is about suicide he says "you can't break me" meaning they can't control him if he's dead... then he wins and right after the creepy ambulance announcement it goes right into the screaming of "i feel so beautiful today" to me that makes me feel like he died he feels beautiful because he has won he ended it and doesnt have to put up with ne more shit my cousin adam has hung with them and they seem like really nice guys... just thought id add that to lighten the mood X_X

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
