I think this song is about the world being right and how we still have a "long long way to go" before the world is right and at peace with itself. Sting was amazing in this some btw
It's also about TV/media, and how it's so easy to shut it off and the world's roblems disappear, at least from our eyes. Switch it off...turn it off...etc.
This is one of Phils open letter songs about a dissolving relationship and as described in the three haunting scenarios he still thinks they still have "a long,long way to go"before the relationship is doomed.
