I agree it's probably about drugs. "this trip"- tripping on acid or mushrooms, "burned", he smoked too much pot and is burnt out...cocaine causes insomnia but so can the other drugs. It is possible he made friends with drug addicts so he was stuck with them. "Do One" probably means "try one of these drugs". Or maybe it's just a sucky relationship with a girl, with obligation trapping them both in.
Actually this song is about a vacation gone wrong, and wanting to get away from the wretched place. The drummer wrote this one.
actually, i believe dajon wrote most of this song. he's the "unofficial" member who plays keyboard and all sorts of fun percussion instruments.
