Voice of the Voiceless Lyrics
They die
Stench and decay should be the only thing we sense
But hidden in the dark and erased from our heads
barbarity and slaughter are everywhere
A contemptible ethic, a relict
For the lowest of the low
My voice for the voiceless
My fists for the innocent
No grave for millions - tortutred creatures,
but a common grave for our morals
This slaughter - on ethic I deny
an archaic way of thinking, so monstruous and absurd

GO VEGAN!
ANIMAL LIBERATION!!!

great song. go vegan. nothing more to say.

this song's about animal rights

nice with a metalcore group writing lyrics about animal rights :)

I want what you're smoking dude... But seriously, the song - as said by others before me, is about standing up for people, and animals (since HSB shows support to antifascism and therefore most likely ALF) who can't stand up for themselves. On a sidenote, I shivered when I heard the chorus for the first time.

It's a song for a enslaved minority, wanting back their rights

How can you even DISCUSS if this song is about animal rights? Of course it is... just read the lyrics:
"A rain of blood should cover our world Stench and decay should be the only thing we sense"
-> because that's what animals lives come to, thanks to humans. but we tend to ignore all the suffering we cause, the blood and the stench of decay. Because our burgers are all made up yummy, no sign of the animal that gave its life for this burger is left. Every meat eater should be forced to endure the stench of decay and death. Then, perhaps, he would begin to realize what he's doing...
"But hidden in the dark and erased from our heads barbarity and slaughter are everywhere"
-> Slaughterhouses are out of sight for most humans... so they can easily ignore the reality behind their "meals"
"On the edge of a new age this is still our dogma"
-> Meat eating is still being considered to be "normal", to be "just alright"... still, in our time. That's a monstrosity, because it's nothing but murder.
Pretty hard to misunderstand these lyrics. And btw, there was a vegetarian/vegan-sXe-compilation named "Voice of the Voiceless" on Smorgasbord Records in 1991. Guess the title is also meant as a tribute to that record.

It seems like this song has a double meaning. Both the slaughter of animals, and people around the world. There is the animals getting slaughtered for meat, and innocent people dying in wars they have nothing to do with. This song is f'n awesome.

at a concert in Vienna the singer said that the song is about animal rights AND human rights (you can also find it on their DVD)

I thought this song was about standing up for people who get bullied. But I guess if it's about animals that's cool, too. Although I have to say, even though I like animals, I like eating them too :P
