Heartbreak Station Lyrics

Waiting at the station
Tears filling up my eyes
Sometime the pain you hide
Burns like a fire inside
Look out my window
Sometimes it's hard to see
The things you want in life
Come and go so easily

[Chorus]
She took the last train out of my heart, ooh
She took the last train
And now I'll think I'll make a brand new start
She took the last train out of my heart

Watching the days go by
Thinking 'bout the plans we made
The days turn into years
Funny how they fade away
Sometimes I think of those days
Sometimes I just hide away
Waiting on that 9:20 train
Waiting on a memory

[Chorus]

My lady's on the fly and she's never coming back
My love is like a steam train rolling down the tracks
Yeah, yeah

[Chorus]

She took the last train, ooh, out of my heart
She took the last train
And now I'll think I'll make a new start
Last train out of heart

Another great power ballad by Cinderella. Obviously, the song is about a man who's woman has left him and now he's hurting. It's great to see the guys pipe down for a love song every now and then isn't it?

Apparantly, not very many people like Cinderella, though I think they're great. This is one of the best monster ballads of all time, though somewhat bitter-sweet. His woman's gone, and he hurts, but he realizes it's a new start. He'll be alright, and moves on.

Definitely one of Cinderellas' best efforts. Tom Keifer truly shows his versatility in this song. This band was wrongly labeled as a hair band, they just came out in a time when people had to dress like morons to sell records. Really great musicians.

This song is overlooked as a power ballad. Its very true...a guy wishes that he still had his girl, or vice versa. I have been there, and it ain't a fun feeling.

My all time favorite song, period. I believe this song is saying that every time you fall in love, a train (the Lovetrain?) leaves the station. A heartbreak due to losing "the One" or the "love of your life" is when "she took the last train out of my heart," and you're never gonna fall in love that way again.

I used to sing this song in a cover band and I would dedicate this song to a woman named Kim, who I think, "took the last train out of my heart."

Good song. This song, in my opinion, could be a good country song.
