I don't believe in god ducks the rocks thrown by the falling up fans but I love the band and have read a different meaning into all the songs. It makes me think of feeling like you belong, the way that we're part of nature and it's something you have to experience to understand. I've only felt this way when I've climbed a mountain and stand at the top looking around. All I can say is that it's an experience that can change your outlook.
I love this song, but Im lost on the meaning. "open up your eyes to the things around you... this time, you can feel his voice and hes never gonna stop till it sinks in deeply" could easily be talking about God, but then whats with the "falling, consecrated lies" part? Thats clearly not talking about God. Any ideas?
"falling consecrated lies and you're letting go with time cause you're through with keeping." It makes perfect sense. falling are you're lies you've held onto. you're letting go of all and trusting in god. you're moving towards symmetry. It's definitely about belonging that is what true faith is about. don't let religious fanatics discourage or taint your view of what Jesus really called us to be. You will not find it in most churches especially not in this country. Like he says.."open up your eyes to the things around you" if we could just do that truely God would be so evident around us, but alas most of us can't myself included.
