I press my hands against the wall
To realize there is nothing at all.
I press my eyes to the window screen,
To realize there is nothing in between.

I close my eyes in fear again,
But nothing ever feels the same.
I close my eyes in fear again,
The Liquid that takes all the pain.

I sit and watch the distant need,
That cracks me up and makes me bleed.
A fragment of eternity,
is all I ever need to see.

Everytime you say - my name,
You reinvent - the pain.

Everytime you say - my name...
You reinvent the pain...

    My Interpretation
"Everytime you say my name, you reinvent the pain." It reminds me of someone who I cared about, she knew how much I cared and used it against me, whenever she'd step back into my life things would seem great until she'd gotten what she wanted, then she'd leave and I'd be depressed again, basically 'everytime you get in touch, you manage to hurt me again.' "I close my eyes in fear again, but nothing ever feels the same." It makes you afraid to be in another relationship incase the same thing happens again with someone else. It also makes me think that every time she steps into my life, even if I'm with someone else, I always go back to her, and it makes me afraid of my own betrayal to someone else. Of course, thats just my interpretation of it compairing things to my past, probably another meaning I'm ignorant of ;)

Sunglasses at Night
Corey Hart
In the 1980s, sunglasses were a common fashion for people who wanted to adopt a "tough guy" persona (note all the cop shows from that era -- Simon & Simon, Miami Vice, etc. -- where the lead characters wore shades). So I think this song is about a guy who wears shades as a way of hiding his insecurity after learning that his girlfriend is cheating on him. He's trying to pretend that he's a "tough guy" to hide the fact that his girlfriend's affair is disturbing him.

Blank Space
Taylor Swift
This song is Swift's response to the negative reputation the media has given her. "I can make the bad guys good for a weekend" - the bad guys are the paparazzi to Swift, but are good to the "player" since association with Swift immediately gives publicity. Any publicity is good publicity and Swift knows this. "You can tell me when it's over" - the tabloids rumor relationships are over before the couple announces it officially. With this song Swift is portraying the way she is portrayed by the media. It is a sarcastic jab at how she views herself and how her "ex-lovers" only wanted to be with her to increase their fame. I applaud the brilliance in writing about how you always write about relationships. It is expected so Swift is giving the media what they want and profiting off the attention.
