This is a song to God...I can relate to this song so much. "I want God if God wants me / I just can't hold on to what I believe"... I've felt this a lot, but God's always there for you to get you through. I just need to remember to be honest and open to Him.
I have a sinking suspicion that most of The Fire Theft's songs don't make much sense, even though they are good. It seems that this is song is about a person who is living a bad life, and no one seems to understand it very well, and wants things to get better, and hopes that people will want him and realize his life.
