Maybe we could work our way around it
If we only knew the truth about it
Maybe we could work our way around it
That the shore used to be the edge
Explore more
Than our block or the next city over
With nothing on our shoulders
But the clothes on our backs
And you leave us here with nothing
Expecting no attack
With soldiers on the way
Maybe all the things I do would make sense just for once
Maybe we could work our way around it
If we only knew the truth about it
There's nothing to hide
Whenever there's a proposition for me to decide on
There's a million suggestions
With a million intentions
With the people getting richer
Off the people getting poorer
It's due for being over
There's justice on the way
Maybe all the things I do would make sense just for once
Maybe we could work our way around it
If we only knew the truth about it
And what you said behind closed doors
(On private lines)
If we only knew the truth about what really goes on
And what you said behind closed doors
(On private lines)
If we only knew the truth about it
More than just a lie or two about what really goes on and what you said
More than just the right thing to do, the time has just passed us up instead
Maybe we could work our way around it
If we only knew the truth about it

I haven't heard this version. I want it so baaaad! but I haven't been able to get my hands on it. The little bit I was able to hear sounded beautiful though. Soft, slowed down, & driven by ELIAS'S beautiful voice. I love it!
He's already explained that it was about the hassles they had with their former label Lava. Now their on Bieler Bros Records. Other people thought the song had to do with the war though, & that explanation fits nicely. For me personally, it could apply to anything. We know what ELIAS intended it for, it could also have to do with the war, or an intrapersonal relationship. People show you one side of themselves, but they keep their other side hidden. In a relationship like that, you can't move forward with the person until they've laid all their cards out on the table, meaning that they can't hold anything back from you. So it fits all 3 nicely. Well done!!

This is Nonpoint's new single. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites of theirs. I'm not sure if this song has been released on the radio yet, but I got an advanced copy of it, so you all will be hearing it soon. It's great!

amazing song. definetly about the war. the new cd recently leaked. awesome stuff.

Fantastic tune. I just hope the rest of the Recoil album is as high a calibre as this!

recoil is pretty good watch out for the song BROKEN BONES

This song is awesome as well as the whole cd. I'm glad they're finally getting some more national coverage.... to me they're the best local band here in south florida, but I hope they get better in other areas of hte country. If they were to make a kick ass video for the phil collins cover, and put it on Fuse or MTV2, they'd deffinetly make it good. (they're fucking kick ass live)

i thinks hes speaking as the president
