This song means exactly what it is titled, that time is precious...duh. But I don't think I've ever heard lyrics explain it so well, especially for me in my life. I'm finishing up college in a year or so and this song helps me focus whenever I hear it, not just on school work but life in general at my age. This harmony displayed by SA and Nick would sound weird without the music, but it is so beautiful when combined, and adding the drums in with those fills makes it even better. Once again, only a song that 311 could produce, and harmony that most other bands would butcher.
I agree with you. This is a very different sounding 311 tune. I like it though. Like you said, the harmony is amazing between nick and SA. I like the transition from the normal guitar into the distortion at 1:26. Great song.

Arguably some of 311's greatest lyrics ever written. It's good to hear from a band of mature individuals who have grown out of the fast life. There's a lot of musicians out there who will live the fast life until they can't keep up with it anymore. So props to 311 on being intelligent enough of people to find something else in life. As for "Time is Precious," I love the music, love the harmony, LOVE the lyrics and hope to see it on an album someday.
wow this song is amazing...deff a surprise it didnt make evolver over same mistake twice and just about any song on that album on btgs and jacks. i think this song could have made a great single. sa is nonexistent on this song so thats the only thing i dont like about it.
