I began my ascent at minus zero
You made so sure of that
You tried to keep me down here
Your complacency has been your downfall
Nobody made you king of the world
And I'm here to dethrone you
So kiss the ring, motherfucker
It's my time, my time to shine
Grasping for straws as they fall
Maybe you can make a splint for your broken ego
For your broken ego

So I say thank you for the scars
And the guilt and the pain
Every tear I've never cried has sealed your fucking fate
What did you take me for, a fool?
Or were you just too blind to see
That every effort made has failed
And there is no destroying me?

Hate can be a positive emotion
When it forces you to better yourself
You built me
Constructed my desire
Perfected my hatred
Now I'm driven to be
Ten times better than you think you are
Piece by piece I've built my walls
And burned bridges down
That lead back to people like you
So full of malice
So full of scorn
You tried your best to crush my spirit
You tried to steal my soul
You pushed my back against the wall
And I broke it down

I will not be broken
Though I am the one who bleeds
I will not be broken, I am the one

I killed my assailant by his arrow You look so sure of it you, Try to keep me down and, Your complexity has brought your downfall, Nobody made you, King of the wall ? So kiss the brick motherfucker, It's my time, my time to shine... ____? (The next 3ish lines are really hard to understand) I'm not broken and you,

And I say thankyou for the scars, And the guilt and the pain, Every tear I never cried has sutured fuckin' fate! Did you take me for a fool? Or were you just too blind to see? That every effort made has failed, And there is no destoryin' me...

Could have been your positive emotion, When it forces you to better yourself, You built me Cause I get my desire, From building my interest, And now, I'm driven to pain, Cause I'm better than you think you are...

Peice by peice I build my walls, And burn my bridges down, That lead back to people like you, So full of malice, So full of scars, You'll drag your mask accross my spirit, Try to steal my soul, You'll push my back against the wall, And I broke, in two...

I will, not be broken, though I am the one who bleeds, I will, not be broken, I am... The one...

And I say thankyou for the scars, And the guilt and the pain, Every tear I never cried has sutured fuckin' fate! Did you take me for a fool? Or were you just too blind to see? That every effort made has failed, And there is no destoryin' me...

sighs No one use to add the whole song, always the chorus and most everything would be cut off. I'm starting my own trend. You guys are not me. Am I elitist? Yeah, I rock when it fucking comes to lyrics. Fuck any who think otherwise. Good job though on the two entries for lyrics. Really close guys. Sorry for venting, but yeah you get the idea.

My Notes: (What it could be saying) (What I think it's saying)

hardcore voice I killed my assailant by his arrow. You look so sure of it; you (Tried) or (Try) to (keep) or (kick) me down and, Your complacency has brought your downfall. Nobody made you king of the world, And now I'm here to tell us all. So kiss the brick, motherfucker! It's my time, my time to shine! Grasping for the stressing vibe, And then you wake up blind. For your broken ego. all For your broken ego! /all /hardcore voice

chorus When/And I say thank you for the scars, With the guilt and the pain, Every tear I never cried, I sealed your fucking fate. Did you take me for a fool? Or were you just too blind to see? That every effort made has failed. And there is no destroying me. (And there is no destroying me!!! ...to echoing scream) /chorus

hardcore voice Pick your pain - your positive emotion. Reinforces you, to better yourself. You built me, constructed by his order. Perfected by hatred. Now I'm driven to pay. Just I'm better than you think you are. all Just I'm better than you think you are! /all Piece by piece I build my walls, And burn my bridges down.(ohhh ohhh) That lead back to people like you. So full of malice, So full of scars, (Ohhh Ohhh) You tried your best to crush my spirit. Tried to steal my soul. (ohhh ohhh) You pushed my back against the wall, And I broke it down. (Ohhh Ohhh) /hardcore voice

Non-hardcore voice I will not be broken, though I am the one that bleeds. I will not be broken, I am the one. /Non-hardcore voice

hardcore voice I will not be broken, though I am the one that bleeds. I will not be broken, though I am the one. I will not be broken, though I am the one that bleeds. I will not be broken, I am the one!! /hardcore voice

chorus When/And I say thank you for the scars, With the guilt and the pain, Every tear I never cried, I sealed your fucking fate. Did you take me for a fool? Or were you just too blind to see? That every effort made has failed. And there is no destroying me. (And, There is no destroying me.) There is no destroying me! (There is no destroying me!) No, there is no destroying me! (No, There is no destroying me!!) /chorus

In the chorus, I'm pretty sure he does not say

"Every tear I never cried, I sealed your fucking fate"

I'm almost 100% sure he's saying "Every tear I've ever cried just seems to fucking fade." Could be either though, although I have seen my version on the Atreyu msgboard. Listen for it.

    Oh, also..

"Now I'm driven to pay. Just I'm better than you think you are. "

Is wrong too, It's "Now I'm driven to be, ten times better than you think you are."

Contagion, listen very closely, it IS Every tear I never cried, I sealed your fucking fate. You can definitely hear the T sound in fate if you listen. I do have to agere with you on the "Now I'm driven to be, ten times better than you think you are." you're exactly rigth about that. It definitely sounds more accurate than "now I'm driven to pay, just i'm better than you think you are."

what he means in this song is that he's been through the excruciatiing heartbreak and now that she see's him all fine and dandy she's now angry and its her turn to feel shitty. and now he's gettign payback for which he's done to her "Every tear I've never cried has sealed your fucking fate' meaning that each day that he grew stronger and didnt cry he could make her feel just as worse.

this song is basically all aboout REVENGE.

I agree with Color Tonite Red...i think he was fucked up, then this person fucked him up even more and jsut completely ruined the way he interacts with people. But then maybe at the end he sees he shouldnt let one person ruin his life? Hmm, dunno.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
