Turn the volume up to drown this awkward silence
While you're off day dreaming in your own land
Words without a choice
Have put me in this position, this position
Of this loss of sleep

It's ok to move on if you want to
I can't hold it against you
I will be the same

I won't be the one to let you down.

With these philly lights on fire
My eyes can barely see the prize
As this city hides desire, it can also hide these cries
As I'm screaming from these windows
The skyline soars above my head
If I can't leave this city
I'll surely wind up dead to the world

I am so sick of being here
In the spot I've been for all these years, here I am
On these trips to mountain tops, I'll relax when vacation drops
When vacation drops

It's ok to move on if you want to
I can't hold it against you
I will be the same

I won't be the one to let you down.

With these philly lights on fire
My eyes can barely see the prize
As this city hides desire, it can also hide these cries
As I'm screaming from these windows
The skyline soars above my head
If I can't leave this city
I'll surely wind up dead to the world

So give me an answer as you blame yourself
You make things harder but I'll do them myself
Never let this go
No more crying cuz it's all dried up
The tears inside are just out of luck
Never let this go

Never let this go.

So you think you're better off on the west coast, well, I've got a story for you now: imaging if you never met me before in your life.

No comments? That's crazy. It's nice to listen to this song [& some of the other old ones] today & think about where Valencia was when I first heard them & where they are currently. It's been such a whirlwind these past few years. Such a great ride.

This song especially hits close to home for me, ever since I first heard it. I've always known that I would end up leaving Philly, & I'm about to for college. So lines like these: "If I can't leave this city, I'll surely wind up dead to the world. I am so sick of being here" pretty much sum up my life right now.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
