Together Lyrics
i can feel it inside
the truth isn't far behind me
you can't deny
when i turn the lights out
when i close my eyes
reality overcomes me
i'm living a lie
and when i'm around you i don't feel together
it doesn't feel right at all
together we've built a wall
together, holding hands we'll fall
hands we'll fall
i realize that i need something good to rely on
something for me
and when i'm around you i don't feel together
it doesn't feel right at all
together we've built a wall
together, holding hands we'll fall
hands we'll fall
i'm lying here
my thoughts are choking
on you my dear
on you my dear
on you my dear
and when i'm around you i don't feel together
it doesn't feel right at all
together we've built a wall
together, holding hands we'll fall
hands we'll fall
together we've built a wall
together, holding hands we'll fall
hands we'll fall
when i'm around you
i don't feel together
i don't feel together
when i'm around you
when i'm around you
i don't feel together, no
i don't feel together

This song is pretty obviously about a relationship were they've grown apart and when they're "together" they aren't together and how the relationship's just gonna pull em both down.

ooooh yeah

This song's so entergetic. Avril shows a lot of potential AND growth in her sophomore album.

I LOVE this song. It's one of the best ones on "Under My Skin". I relate to it and I like how it gets loud when she says, "Together!".

Wow. Avril has matured. Anyway, this song is about a relationship where they have grown apart and she realizes that she doesnt really need the guy anyway.

This song is amazing. I was once having trouble with my boyfriend and I listened to this, and was like "woah, holding hands WILL fall." and i just started crying...it's pretty amazing when a great song can make you cry..

Avril has matured, true. Has anyone noticed the piano bit at the start is REALLY like one from one of Alanis Morissette's songs?

Heh. This is one of the few... well maybe only, Avril song I can tolerate. Aaanyway.
The Dresden Dolls did a kareoke (spelling?) video of this song. It's funny & on their website. ;)

This song is about a relationship that a girl has with a boy or vice versa, and one of them eventually grows away from the other. Like Psycotic_Santa said, the meaning is pretty obvious.
