Please don't go crazy, if I tell you the truth
No you don't know what happened, and you never, will
If you don't listen to me while I talk to the wall
This blanket is freezing, its been out in the hall
Where you fight me for hours, 'til I'm sure what I want
But darling I want the same thing, that I wanted before
So sweetheart tell me what's up, I won't stop, no way

Please keep your hands down, and stop raising your voice
Its hardly what I'd be doing, if you gave me a choice
Its a simple suggestion, can you give me some time
So just say yes or no, why can't you shoulder the blame?
'Cause both my shoulders are heavy, from the weight of us both
You're a big boy now, so lets not talk about growth
You've not heard a single word I have said, oh my God

Please take it easy, It can't all be my fault
I haven't made half the mistakes, that you've listed so far
Baby let me explain something, its all down to drugs
At least I remember taking them, and not a lot else
It seems I've stepped over lines, you've drawn again and again
But if the ecstasy's in, the wit is definitely out
Dr.Jekyll is wrestling Hyde, for my pride

this is my favorite song of Snow Patrol's, it's beautifully written. I love everyone's feed back it's given me such an insight on this particular song and everyone feels so strongly about what they believe. though i have to say that forming your own opinions and beliefs is as important as taking the advice of someone elses to heart. i believe that you should find your own insights to this song. It can be interpreted many different ways and each way is individual and unique due to the emotional attachment that so many people have for this song. Everyone who enjoys this song has a reason as to why, same to those who don't like it. Go enjoy Snow Patrols beautifully written and performed music. Love that you have the option to post your own opinion and remember that the person's opinion that truly matters is your own, and taking anyone elses opinion to heart is the reason you change your own. Take a moment to bask in the glory that you are able to listen to this beautiful song and form your own opinion that may or may not influence someone elses

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
