Tonight I won't say tonight it's ok
Always had a feeling it would pass
Never ever thought it'd be this way
Still I keep in mind that snow is safe
Safer than it was two years ago
Tonight I won't say tonight it's ok
Always had a feeling it would pass
Never ever thought it'd be this way
Still I keep in mind that snow is safe
Safer than it was

Always had a choice

i completely agree with the whole him having a bad memory relating to the snow but i think it's more symbolical. could be anything but to me, the snow symbolizes a past love. he is looking back sadly, now with a new love knowing that even if this love hurts too, he is now at least wiser and stronger.

"Still I keep in mind that snow is safe." -(keep in mind that even though he was hurt because he was in love, love itself isn't the real danger; it isn't bad."

"Safer than it was two years ago" -(safer now because he's not with that person anymore, the love that hurt him, but as stated above, but with a new love knowing that even if this love hurts too, he is now atleast wiser and stronger.

and lastly, "Always had a choice but I cannot be mislead like that" -(he is aware that he was was in complete control (as i believe everyone to be) of how much he allowed himself to hurt, and he shouldn't let it get to him like it did before)

i think you all are smart enough to make out what he means in the rest of the song from what i've put down. just my thoughts. =]

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
