back in grade school
you never could quite make them out
but you said you thought they were cool
we made a really good team
you and i and our acid washed jeans
looking back it was all so great
Vaurnet, chip n pepper, and vanilla ice tapes
that she comes out in october
i really wish someday i could show her
how things have changed
but now that were so much older
i dont even really know her
maybe some day she'll come over
we could hang
cosmopolitan
and your hair was down
and everybody liked you
remember way back when
back in grade seven
cause your hair was down
and everybody liked you
favorite day was earth day
forget what those jerks say
i dug you in the worst way
no doubt
cause you even went out and bought me
a boys in the hood soundtrack for my birthday
she comes out in october
some day i could show her
things have changed
but now that were so much older
i dont even really know her
maybe some day she'll come over
we can hang
hang around
hang around
hang around
that you would be something
and we could all tell
stories to our friends
and we could all tell
it was now or nothing
and we could all tell
you'd never be back again

I'm really sorry to say this guys but bouncehoper is somewhat right. as you can tell this is song is about a girl trevor grew up with. back in grade school they were really good friends and he could see potential in her to be someone great. but at the moment she seemed to be the "popular" girl and now she's on magazines. as you can see
"its hard to get over she comes out in october"
she has become a model or something and trevor is deeply diasappointed. but it also seems like trevor wasn't the best kid in school and he's changed to the God-loving person he is now.

this songs amazing its one of my favorite songs i dont get why more ppl dont like this band

this was the song that tuned me to a FM static fan.. really rocks...

i absolutely adore this band and like lazykid i have no idea why more people dot like them

who's this about? it sounds like someone famous...

I think it's about time trevor spent with a girl in his high school days at around 16 or 17, She fell out with trevor about something not mentioned in the song, now she is going to move house in october of the year, trevor wishes he could show her things have changed with him, but by then they are a lot older and things wouldn't be the same.

I don't much care for this song cuz he just rambbles on about nonsense... Not as good as others like Hey Now and Donna...
