On the palm trees in the dirt
But here the sun will always shine (It'll always shine)
Even if with the clouds it flirts
It doesn't cry like me
In Hell-LA the sun is always there ( it's always there)
Scalding the deep green sea
and waltz to earth so gently
To form a perfect blanket
For someone else to walk on
on the palm of my blue hand
but the breeze it blows straight through my hair, (through my hair)
and buries in the sand
and waltz to earth so gently
To form a perfect blanket
For someone else to walk on
my heart cannot be found
My body yearns for the warmth of snow
but the sun keep pouring down
These streets have signs that point somewhere
but there I don't belong
And there's no more use
To curl your hair
When your innocence is gone
On the palm trees in the dirt
But here the sun will always shine ( always shine)
Even if with clouds it flirts

it kind of explains itself... but as most people know, other then in the mountains, it's very super rare for it to snow in california, which is where katy is from.

i can never tell if she means she wants to be a snowflake but she never will be or she doesnt wanna be a snowflake and shes refusing to be one.

Its really about the whole California scenery, where ur obliged to lose ur innocence to fit in, i really adore this song, its so different from everything i have ever heard! the way she wrote the chorus, talking about being a snowflake which goal only seems to be forming a perfect blanket "for someone else to walk on" contradiction again...
This song was my number one for such a long time, its really weird and somehow cold yet emotional...oh and does anyone else think that the way she says "flirtssss" in the first verse is really cute!?

Yeah that part is well well cute =]] katy rose is actually such a good song writer this song is amazing.
