Tell it to me now,
Close your eyes
'Cause they don't feel a fucking thing
You gotta memorize what you felt
When you lost your wings
Your line is mesmerized,
Condition's paralyzed
Your chance to live is emphasized
Nor a truth nor a lie

Burn your flag, figure
The disciples of God want you to die

Figure Number Five
Caught in the hands of a human lie
Figure, Figure Number Five
Give it up,
Never stop till he hits the ground
Figure Number Five
The fifth wheel in a cynical time
Figure, Figure Number Five
They won't stop, they won't stop
'Til he hits the ground

Their eyes are shut side by side
And you can't do a single thing
They will cease their time passing by
Sucking blood out of kings

It's such a drag,
I can't do nothing always there
I feel my welfare's burning

General Comment"What's the story behind Figure Number Five?

The meaning behind the album can best be summed up by the lyrics in the title track by the lyrics, "Fifth Wheel In A Cynical Time". The world we live in now is based on power and greed. The people discussed here are the people given the shaft, in other words, they are the underdogs. The lyrics describe those who feel like they are the fifth wheel of society; that they are not necessary for the balance of the vehicle of the modern world. Killer metaphor huh!"

Directly from the band, so cut out the Satanic talk, this isn't Dimmu Borjir.

General CommentThis is obviously a song about how so many people serve little more function than being the proverbial fifth wheel for the bitter society(ies) many live in today.

General CommentI had a weird dream where Slipknot sang a song w/ this same title and I swore I saw the Devil or something. It was weird.
