Heat seeps in holes
Heat seeps in souls

Sweat soaked yellow shroud
Breathless protection
Daggers where the eyes should be
Blood running down your cheeks

Eyes in black suns direction
Feet burning insects stinging

Sweat soaked yellow shroud
Breathless protection
Daggers where the eyes should be
Blood running down your cheeks

The point

The ocean spreads beneath the skin
Fluid fills blackened lungs
Tar seeps across the eyes
Away in the sea of red

General CommentWell to start off, for those that didn't know, the dialog in this song comes from the movie Hotel Room by David Lynch, Mr. Turner was obviously a solid fan of Lynch's work.

As for the interpretation, I think watching the movie will give you a bit more insight on the meanings of this song.

General CommentAfter you hear the dialogue in the beginning and then read the lyrics it somewhat makes sense. This song to me is from the female prospective and how much she missed her love one, and how she could not live without him. This is told in such lines daggers where your eyes should be, which is meaning how much it hurts her to know that he is gone.

General CommentThe red sea is internal bleeding done... from yourself.
Think about it, (smoking) blackened lungs (fluid/mucus/blood), tar seeps, Inject and remove, sweat soaked yellow, breathless trying to protect yourself from feelings. Then there is the insects from mosquito control stinging at your feet, so every step you take is affected by the people around you, and so the pain is like stabs in the eyes, and your blind to everything around you and to (reference to future albums) what the government and others are doing.
and in the speech in the beginning it's like he is lost in this red sea, and is loosing human connections as a result. But since Isis uses a theme with women i think from the other point of view it is a loss of her human connection.

General Commentoh sorry didnt mention heat seeps in holes and souls, although that should be pretty obvious, from black suns to eye sockets, and whatever drug habit or problem you have but in this case think of smoke and how it seeps into the lowest crevices, all seeping into the hole that is you, and becoming permanent marks and burns in your soul.

sorry about the double post thing
