awesome i am the first to comment on haste the word to your mother day.. this song is basically saying how hard you can try to stay by god but it seems to go away as part of your own fault...

a couple lines worshipping god is better than a couple lines glorifying anything else. and maybe the singer can't sing but he has one of the coolest sounding screams ever and the guitar player can sing. besides... he's not in the band anymore.

Well, first off, no, the new singer isn't just as good as the old one. Jimmy Ryan was just too sick, and he defined the "Haste Sound". HTD is still a good band with Stephen, just not quite the same level.
This song is in the top 5 on Burning Bridges, an awesome breakdown, which is what HTD was known for on their EP as well as their first two full lengths.

This song almost depresses me every time I hear it. I thinkit's pretty straightforward, and sort of goes along with American Love. He turned his back on God and realizes how dumb that is, and goes back. He sees the 'Perfect Day', which to me sounds like heaven. And Turns back to God and is bak on the right path.
