Olio Lyrics
I called you up just to hear your
Your eyes I know are a cold cold blue
Pale white skin dead like a mannequin
Seem to fade
Looking and not wanting to come up to date
Like a broken clock
The hand is still
Though the pain I was watching as sound hit my ears
We don't fit any more
We don't fit any more
Not the same
Not the same
Not the same, same, same
Ripped up in the shadows
Over and over again
I remember before as your mouth
It touched my face
Small hands grabbing me
Trapped in my thoughts
You repeating like a machine gun
Phantasmagoria
The time pelting me
pelting me
Hipped up in the shawdows
Over and over again
Ripped up in the shadows
Over and over again
Over and over again
Over and over again

Good song. For anyone reading this. This is a must hear from The Rapture, the synth version of the song is much better than the instrumental version. That is my opinion though. It just gives it a deeper feeling if you ask me.

ill agree and the voice! truley does add to the whole atmosphere...

only thing ive ever listened to and thought thiss is kinda like at the drive in

jenner sounds something like bixler on dumb waiters. have any of you guys heard the olio version on MIRRORS ? it's fucking awesome. I think it's better than the ECHOES version.

he is still in love with girl who doesn't want to date with him anymore... and he is lonely and thinks all the time about the day when they broke up... he tries to date with her one more time but she is cold and doesn't want to come... but he doesn't fell that they "don't fit anymore"..because he is still in love with her... and he can't do anything about that..."the time pelting" him...means that the time is killing him or pelting him with abuse made in his head... so he is "ripped up in the shadows"..that's only shadows that left of his person and yes the Mirrors version is much more better I love it....it's my favourite Rapture song

i'm pretty sure it says "you repeat like a machine gun."

i'm pretty sure this is the best rapture song ever. so good

The Cure's influence is so strong on this tune. Absolutely stunning.

its about holding on to an ended relationship. not wanting to accept the reality that its over. "like a broken clock the hand is still" holding on to the past as his memories of her fade. he knows it cant be the same anymore, but still shes trapped in his thoughts that repeat over & over again "like a machine gun" hurting him over & over again. reminding him of how he still misses her.
