Ten frozen memories lost into your pool of interrupted thought.
I could have reminisced for hours.
But right now you are all I get to remember.
I'm waiting for something to get through to you.
I'm waiting to see a truer side of you, and we're...

Let's make this quick. I'll bother you, you'll tear it away.

Cut broken enemies off, into your pit of non-valuable losses.
Could have stayed and dreamt for days,
But the sight must be far worse than the taste.
And I'm waiting for something to get through to you.
And I'm waiting to burn compassion into you. and we're..

We don't even know if we're to blame for all of this,
We don't even know if we're in the clear, the clear.
We don't even know if we should bank on any of this
And we don't even know if we'll go,

So let's make this quick. I'll bother you, you'll tear it away.

This isn't happening, leave me with myself.

"Ten frozen memories lost into your pool of interrupted thought. I could have reminsced for hours, but right now you are all I get to remember. I'm waiting for something to get through to you. I'm waiting to see a truer side of you, and we're..." This guy/girl is recalling 10 amazing memories that he/she had with their significant other and could have just thought about this for hours but their thoughts are interupted by an argument. ("but right now you are all I get to remember") "Let's make this quick. I'll bother you, you'll tear it away" realizes that an argument is inevitable and just wants to make it quick and simple "Cut broken enemies off, into your pit of non-valuable losses." the significant other just cuts this person off from their life...pushes them into a pit with their other non-valuable losses "We don't even know...." the person doesn't know whether they are to blame or who is, and if its really over, or if they should give it another shot, and ultimately don't know if they'll even be able to go on without each other.

The last line is kind of like realization of what the person just did and they are just shocked and can't believe its happening and want to be left alone.

    Awesome song...Dead Poetic rules!

totally forgot to tie in the song title.. the two people are hostages to this event that occurs...it's as if they aren't in control of anything that is going on around them

It sounds like [whoever I is] is trying to lead someone to Christ (because DP is christian)---the first verse means the other person is trying to contemplate life and figure something out---life. "I'm waiting": those lines mean I 'm waiting for God's message to get through to you so you will repent. "Lets make this quick" that line says how he doesnt really have faith that the other person will accept it "Cut broken enemies off, into your pit of non-valuable losses." How the person is careless when dealing with people--needs help. Wow i just looked at this again and saw how weak and stretched my idea is. I'm just trying to make it christian because I lose the music but not the lyrics. pyroboy's right ;)

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
