I could feel at the time
There was no way of knowing
Fallen leaves in the night
Who can say where they're blowing
As free as the wind
And hopefully learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning

More than this
You know there is nothing
More than this
Tell me one thing
More than this
You know there is nothing

It was fun for a while
There was no way of knowing
Like a dream in the night
Who can say where we're going
No care in the world
Maybe I'm learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning

More than this
You know there is nothing
More than this
Tell me one thing
More than this
You know there is nothing
oooh aaaah
More than this
You know there is nothing
More than this
Tell me one thing
More than this
There is nothing
Ooooh Ooooh Ooooooh Aaaaaaah Ooooooh

My InterpretationThis song is to me a praise of the present, like a modern Carpe Diem. We have to accept life as it is, enjoy it as it is, the moment is precious since it is all we have. We shouldn't be wasting life worrying about its meaning and requiring further explanation, as there may not be any. Like the "Fallen leaves in the night", we can't say we're blowing and it shouldn't matter.
This song is about not clinging to delusions, but the general tone is positive and life affirming. It invite us to be "as free as the wind" with our own human condition.
